About me
I come from an art and business background, having founded and successfully operated my own small business since 2003. My work in libraries began in 2015, when I became the Assistant Director at our local library. After a brief hiatus, I returned to the same role in May 2022. That summer, I wrote a grant proposal for the library's expansion, which was fully awarded in the fall.
Shortly before the expansion was set to begin, the Library Director resigned. Recognizing the importance of this moment for our community, I applied for and was hired as the new Director. With minimal training, I committed myself to learning and organizing the administrative side of he library, while also leading preparations for our relocation and construction project.
During this time, I began developing both an Operations Manual and a Director's Manual to clearly document our processes and procedures, resources I believe are essential for any library's success.
