guidance. She works with libraries, boards, and communities to strengthen policies, prepare for challenges, and
build staff capacity to uphold access and inclusion.
With 15 years of experience in public libraries, including nearly a decade in administration and executive
leadership, Amanda brings a deep understanding of the complexities library leaders face. Her background spans
both municipal and district libraries, giving her insight into governance, board relations, and organizational
strategy.
Amanda’s commitment to intellectual freedom began after confronting material challenges in her own library, an
experience that led her to focus her career on advocacy, education, and support for libraries nationwide. A
frequent speaker at state and national conferences, she empowers library professionals to navigate censorship
pressures and protect the right to read.
